BOB THE FROG MEETS QUACK THE DUCK

There once was a frog named Bob. He was a happy frog most of the time. But he had a problem. When he was above the water he was so slow. But he could swim under the water really fast.

One day while floating on his lily pad he met Quack the duck. Everyone knew that Quack was the fastest animal around the pond. Quack liked to tease and BULLY other animals that were not as fast as him.

That day when he met Bob the Frog he began to bully Bob. “You’re so slow Bob. The grass grows faster than you can hop.” Said Quack the Duck in a rather rude voice. Quack kept teasing and pushing poor Bob the Frog off his lily pad.

Bob got so mad at Quack the Duck. But Bob knew that fighting was not the answer to his problem with Quack the Duck. His Mum had taught him that no matter what you must not fight. So Bob the Frog said. “Let’s have a race Quack and we shall see who is truly faster.

Well Quack the Duck laughed so hard his tail feathers wiggled. “You want to race me? I am the fastest animal in all the land! You will lose for sure.” Said Quack the Duck in his cockiest voice ever.

So all the animals of the pond gathered around to watch Bob the Frog and Quack the Duck race. Bob the Frog told Quack the duck that they would race on the pond. “You want to race me on the very pond my Dad taught me how to race? You are dumb as well as slow Bob but okay lets race!” Said Quack the duck in a rather mean voice.

So it was decided that the race would be on the pound and started by Kitt the Kitten from the shore of course because kittens hate water. Kitt the kitten stood on the shore holding a checkered flag up in the air. “Ready. Set. Gooooooo”! And with that the race was on.

Quack the Duck started real fast and left Bob the Frog behind in a wake of water! But what Quack did not know was that Bob was quite slow above the water but under the water he was as fast as fast could be. So Bob dove into the water and began to kick his legs and stroke his arms back and forth real fast. In fact he was so quick that he finished the race way ahead of Quack the Duck.

When Quack made it to the other shore were Bob the Frog was celebrating with all the other animals. Quack could not believe his eyes. “You were so fast Bob I did not know you could swim so quickly. I am really sorry I teased and bullied you so much it will never happen again.” Said Quack the Duck in a surprised voice.

Just then Crockery the Cocky Crocodile came up to Quack and said. “Hahaha you have to be the slowest Duck around. You got beat by Bob the slowest Frog. And now your new name is Quack the slowest Duck!”

“Now listen here you big bully you stop that right now.” Said Bob the Frog in a mad voice. Quack felt so bad. He had done the same thing to Bob the Frog. Now it was being done to him and he did not like it. Bob the Frog told Crockery the Cocky Crocodile that Quack is very fast but Quack the Duck did not know that I was so quick under the water.

Crockery the Cocky Crocodile was surprised. For he never had anyone stand up to him like that before so he slinked back into the water and swam away.

“Oh thank you Bob for sticking up for me when you shouldn’t have. I did the same and worse to you.” Said Quack the Duck. “That is okay Quack what are friends for. Said Bob the Frog.

And from that day on they were the best of friends that there ever could be.

The moral of this story is to never judge a book by its cover. And that it is not fun to bully someone or to be bullied. Be a star and don’t bully!
